PostHeaderIcon Tamworth Physiotherapists team up to provide physiotherapy at tamworth Physiotherapy Clinic

Atlas Pain Relief Centre now have 2 HPC registered Tamworth physiotherapists who specialise in sports injuries and running injuries. Atlas offers physiotherapy, osteopathy, acupuncture, sports massage and will offer podiatry and chiropody from July 2007.

Birmingham Physiotherapist Peter Taylor
is now working as a Tamworth physiotherapist at Atlas and will provide specialist running advice and running injury treatments for all running injuries.
Custom fitted orthotics and biomechanical evaluations are available from Peter who will shortly have a degree in Podiatry as well as his extensive physiotherapy experience. Peter has worked at the Birmingham City FC academy looking after the “Blues” young talent and is himself a very useful club runner.

Tamworth physiotherapist John Williams
who is the clinic director at the Atlas Pain Relief Centre in Tamworth, Staffordshire is another sports injury specialist who has many elite athletes on his list of clients. Both John and Peter offer a first class service in sports injury diagnosis and treatments

Lichfield, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham and Tamworth areas are all covered by the Tamworth Physiotherapy pair and injured sports enthusiasts should check out the
Atlas website www.atlaspainrelief.com
for testimonials from delighted customers

Tamworth Physiotherapist John Williams is surprised by the amount of enquiries he receives from newly graduated physiotherapists looking for work. It appears that many new graduates will be lucky to find employment due to the shortage of physiotherapy vacancies for new graduates within the NHS. Some are offering their services as massage therapists just to find work, which seems a sad state of affairs after they have just spent 3 years on a degree programme.

The future looks bleak for inexperienced physio’s as the training establishments are still churning out plenty of new graduates every year, while many graduates from previous years cannot find work.

If you are considering a career in Physiotherapy then a little research into employment prospects must be a consideration before investing 3 years of your time and much expense.

What is Osteopathy?

Osteopaths offer an excellent alternative to chiropractic and physiotherapy treatments for back and neck pain and spinal complaints. The ability to use their hands in order to feel subtle changes in the body tissues and position of spinal segments afford them diagnostic skills envied by many practitioners. Osteopaths are registered with the General Osteopathic Council and have 5 years degree training before qualification. Osteopathy is now seen by many to be more of a mainstream form of treatment now. Many of the clinical tests employed by osteopaths are the same used in mainstream medical assessments. Osteopaths are well trained in spinal manipulations and soft tissue manipulation. “Osteo” means bone and Osteopaths are specialists in all bones including the spine. Having detailed knowledge in examination and assessment of joints means that your osteopath can help you with shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle injuries too. If you suffer from back or neck pain then an Osteopath would be a good choice to make if you wanted a diagnosis and treatment.

Treatment times vary but most osteopaths offer up to an hour for your first visit followed by 30 minute follow up sessions. Many conditions are pain free within 4-6 treatments

Why not come along and meet our team of dedicated professionals and see what Atlas Pain Relief Centre can do for you!
